The Christian Education Diploma Programme

The Presbyterian University of East Africa wishes to announce the launch of Christian Education Diploma Programme under the Christian Education Department to be hosted in a brand new building- The Christian Education and Resource Center (CERC-PUEA).

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAMME:

The main objective for the Christian Education Programme is to equip the church ministers especially the lay people for effective ministry. As one scholar, Peter Larom has put it, quoting a Bishop from Uganda, “the Church has had preaching; now it needs teaching.

NAME OF THE PROGRAMME

The Programme is called, Diploma in Christian Education.

This programme will be launched in May trimester 2017.

GOALS:

The goals of the Christian Education program will be:

  • To impact on students in knowledge and skills in theology, education, and social science so that they are able to teach in various ministries in the church
  • To provide students with Christian ethical leadership skills
  • To help the students be able to design, implement and direct educational programs in the church and society

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Holders of KCSE certificate with minimum aggregate grade of C- and above in addition to a minimum of grade C- in English.

MODES OF STUDY: FULL TIME ONLY

INTAKES: JANUARY, MAY AND SEPTEMBER
